Det är inte ovanligt att medierna får förfrågningar om att låta folk publicera sig anonymt. Seriösa medier säger att vi gör en intervju i stället vilket sedan kräver att tidningen gör en självständig faktagranskning av uppgifterna och kommenterar deras trovärdighet. Och man tar även in mothugg. Nu har man gått runt vanlig publicistisk granskning och sed genom att tillåta anonym op-ed.

Den som sett dokumentären om NYT och Trump ser NYTs arbetsmetoder och även deras konstaterande att gamla metoder inte gäller. Minns inte i vilket avsnitt de sa det men det är en mycket intressant dokumentär i 4 delar.

The Rodchenkov affair (McLaren report) was not based on any evidence. In the Skripal affair UK blamed Russia before any evidence could be presented. It still (2018 03 24) seems possible that many countries can manufacture the alleged poison Novichok A234. The OPCW report can not tie Russia to the manufacturing of the poison. Putin is constantly vilified in Western media.
